They're simple tips - know your skills, do your research, etc - but ones that make all the difference, and they can be applied to just about any job interview you can think of.

If you're going for a government or public sector job in New Zealand, you will almost certainly be asked competency based interview questions. This style of interviewing can be unnerving to people who aren't familiar with it. Wikijobs has a brilliant resource on competency based interviews.

Wikijobs also has examples of competency based questions, and how to answer them in a positive, constructive way that shows your interviewers how you work.
